PReC - ePortugal
hello everyone.
i'm julio de matos, president of PReC, Partido Revolucionário eComunista (eCommunist Revolutionary Party), one of the Top5 parties in ePortugal.
I want, with this introduction, to give a little history lesson on ePortugal's society and economics(one of many privileges of being its Vice-President, much like a MoFA to you guys).
==BETA DAYS==
With the opening of the war module last year (Feb '08? I dunno), we had a sudden crisis in ePortugal's market. With the "cartelization" of the weapon market, a plan was made by the center-left government to prevent this kind of situations in the future, by creating a "coalition of companies" under the same flag: fair price and fair salary.
President PHuSiOn9 called the plan "Portugal: Super-Power". Great drama was created by right-wingers and he gracefully was called "phurer" until today .
Basically it was a failure: to successfully sell their products the companies started to compete among themselves, forgotting completely the teamwork.
After that the plan was reformulated. To several companies, one head: that of the president. His powers included now the control of 80% of the ePortugal's economy with a single, large SO (Org) called PeNICO, Portuguese National and International Companies Organization, one of the first contracts made in eRepublik.
Doing so, the government was effectively controlling the market and succesfully concentrating the workforce and productivity in a /v/akistan-style economy: printing money to fuel the economic machine. To those who don't know/remember, in beta days there were no penalties in printing money and the companies' productivity wasn't limited to 10/20 employees.
Printing money to give completely what the workers produced and producing material at a fantastic rate (with 100+ workers, imagine that!), private companies obviously were closing, because they couldn't afford to apply the prices and salaries practiced by the government. the next governments didn't felt the need to have other companies compete, so all product taxes were raised to the maximum, and all the living taxes (collected to houses in the several districts, who elected mayors) were decreased to their minimum.
ePortugal was considered to be the first true communist country. A golden age in the struggle of the proletariat. In a company census made 5 months after v1, it was proven that there was almost 12 Q4 weapons to every citizen, and an absurd quantity of gifts.
Until...
==V1 DAYS== (oh lawdz)
A lot has said to the new version of the game. It's wise to say that now eRepublik has a faulty economical module because of the shortsighted formulas made to counter the economical and social advances of the proletariat and /v/ alike (ex. a) the internationalization of the market (with the "raw material"), b) the workers limit, c) the currency/GOLD printing exchange and its 100.000 currency limit).
a) Forcing each country to cooperate with the outside market, the admins created an "internationalization" of the market, forcing each country to valorize its currency to buy raw material outside its market. Au de contraire, products are easily sold outside with a devaluated currency.
b) Applying a limit to the number of workers a company can have, admins in their highly dialectic point of view (not ), practically ruled out the possibility of uniting hundreds of workers under the same Organization/Company, distributing them in unnecessary companies, making its management even more complicated.
c) Planned devalorization is no longer possible due to the internationalization of the market. Even so by creating a print-limit and GOLD/Currency exchange. Creating a devalorized currency and working under state companies, ePortugal was able to maximize the productivity to its full capacity and was able to deliver extremely low-priced products to the outside market and still have profit, making economic war a real danger to any enemy 3 times our size.
Not everything was bad though, Turkey and Greece never had devaluated currency derived from goon problems. Partially because it was too late already
Now called orgPT, the Portuguese National and International Companies Organization lost 3 of its most valued resources: money printing, workforce restriction and the internationalization of the market. With these new set of rules, it has to compete like a regular organization. Its primary function nowadays is with the regulation of the portuguese market.
TL;DR
best regards

Re: PReC - ePortugal
Portugal has a proper communist party? I didn't know that. So that's cool! Welcome.
Re: PReC - ePortugal
yes it has, and played a major role in ePortuguese events on August/Semptember '08. with Judazs in command, we've won the presidency and installed a true (epic) communist country

Prec Liaison
Greetings fellow eSocialists.
My name is PorcamaisPorcas, a member of the portuguese PReC party. The central comittee of our party has chosen me to act as a liaison with the Internacionale, which is to say, as a delegate in your organization. I've come to introduce myself and to ask for access to your forums. I'll ask the party president, Julio de Matos, whom you already know, to confirm this decision in this topic. I have a lot of questions to ask, but i will reserve them until I have given the access to the forum, as undoubtedly most of them will have already been answered there or will be better placed there.
Hoping for a long and fruitful relationship,
PorcamaisPorcas

Hello, comrades.
I'm JMSPC, also a member of PReC from Portugal. I've been registered for a while, but never took the time to properly introduce myself.
I belong to PReC's communications committee and am here to give my contribution regarding the Internationale logo, which I'll post in the proper thread.
Best wishes
