I've heard the argument from Maoists (surprise surprise!) that the people of China are struggling to make China an industrialized country (seeing as Marx argued that revolutions can only take place in industrialized countries) and that it requires "a little" suffering.

I'm curious to know, when exactly has China reached the level of satisfaction? Is it up to the communist party to decide any longer (seeing as a big part of the "Chinese" industry is private / foreign) and if they have the guts to nationalize these foreign enterprises on their soil? China will never reach that state, thus, they will continue with their "right-wing" policies (to put it from a "maoist" pov) until they are either mass-murdered in a people's revolution or nuked by a foreign power (Fallout ^^).
