Red Brigade Comandant Position Empty Red Brigade Comandant Position

Post  Manic Eskimo Tue Apr 20, 2010 12:19 pm

As we know the Red Brigade has been inactive for a while now. Macht Geil had done a wonderful job in running the RB but unfortunately does not have the time to command it anymore so we will need a new commandant

Applicants for Commandant of the Red Brigade should:
Have enough time to co-ordinate with commanders in different time zones.
Have a good knowledge of game mechanics and war in eRepublik
Have a good understanding of how communes and co-operative companies can aid militias
Be committed and be able to set clear goals and to realize them.
Previous military experience is preferable but not essential

If you are interested in the job please post below.

I'd like to propose a major reform of the Red Brigade. Due to some parties being against an Internationale military wing we might want to consider an Internationale militant committee which would consist of one to three (or more) people whom have an interest in military affairs.

I would like to propose myself for Commandant of Red Brigade.

I don't agree with you Maksim. I will say that committee what you suggest will be in Red Brigade because it is federation of all militias and military units of leftists. That automatically means that Commandant will talk and discuss with leaders of local militias on forum. There will be discussions and people will talk what do they think. Freedom of speech of course. But Commandant will have last word on proposals and plans. There must be one leader, in other way you will get fractions and unstable military force which will destroy us completely. I don't want to act like some Duce or Fuhrer, it isn't situation "What Fuhrer says, we do it" or "Fuhrer is perfect with no weak points" There will be discussion but one man will say "Let's go to action"

Cheers!

Red Brigade Comandant Position Empty Re: Red Brigade Comandant Position

Post  Maksim Chuikov Wed Apr 21, 2010 1:17 pm

What I'm proposing is a more decentralized version of the Red Brigade. This movement hasn't got capable people (by capable I'm referring to active enough) to lead such a position. RB has been without a leader ever since MachtGeil got into eGerman politics. It's become painfully obvious that the RB can't spread as an organization, it can't open its own brigades in other e-countries, it has to recruit existing left-wing militias to its service.

By having an international militant committee with militaries such as PKKA and PKeI's elite squads we would be able to form a foundation for a future military alliance. I believe I should note that by the statement above I'm not saying bigger movements should lead others, I'm merely saying we should make a bit more organized planning committee which bigger movements can subscribe to. Workers' Militia which gave directives to its subscribers was more successful then RB in many ways. What I'm suggesting is that we enlarge a WM structure and recruit left-wing militaries and militias to this new movement.

Finally on the matter of structure. I would like to highlight the fact that just because we are political veterans in the far-leftist movement doesn't mean most of us know a squat about military affairs. The same applies to comrades interested in military affairs, only vice-versa (hence why we may not even know they exist). I believe we have a good chance of finding capable people to fill up a committee which follows super-alliance affairs, categorizes anti-imperialist struggles (for the greater good?) into a priority order and finally gives out directives to its followers.

In v2 you will have complicated situation and that won't be simple. Production will be needed and we will organize local production of weapon. That is big problem and with committee. I am staying in my opinion. Of course local leaders of militias will be military educated but we don't want anarchy. It's not simple as now: go there, fight there Wink

V2 will require a lot more productivity on moving tickets, no doubt about that. I've never seen the production of weapons, tickets or any other products as a problem. The first reason why I'm proposing that we give out directives with different prioritizes is so that each and every militia or military organization can decide for themselves if they're going to participate or not. The second reason why I'm proposing this is because most militias are growing in productivity. SFP's Bear Cavalry has an effective commune structure behind them, PCP's PA hasn't got a supply shortage and neither has anything bigger then those. In the end, the question of supplying ones own militia is still going to be their own problem (at least in the coming future).

Maksim perhaps there has been some mis-communication, The leaders of the militias recruited will form a kind of council the commandant will be the chair of this council. The commandants job will be to negotiate with the militias and to keep them inline with the current goals. The heads of the militias will have a say in which targets to attack and have complete control over how their militias are run.

I think Simonov will make an excellent commander as he has extensive knowledge in military matters and a great understanding of game mechanics. As I've said the role of commander is as much a diplomatic position as a military one Simonov will also be very good in this respect.

Post  Vincent Nolan Thu Apr 22, 2010 5:41 pm

just my two cents, I see how having three commanders, which is what I think Maksim was recommending, would be helpful since this could help solve activity problems. If one doesn't have time to do it, three should get the job done. If done in that way I don't see a problem. I believe the Red Brigade should be a voluntary thing. I don't see how it could be anything else. As was said, every party has their own militias and the Red Brigade should be nothing more than cooperative ops between internationale party militias. The "three" or "one" commanders/commander would simply act as an organizer. The only bad thing about three organizers is that they have to organize amongst themselves as well. I can see the good in both approaches. But, would Siminov, who is active and able to organize the Red Brigade, be able to do so indefinately? If not then maybe Maksim's proposal has some merit. But then you have the problem of finding three active able commanders. Hm, I'm torn. Sorry to play the Devil's Advocate, lol. I'm good at that Very Happy.

i also dont know if the name Red Brigade fits the new idea of the organisation
after all its more like a Commission uniting all the fer-left militias in the eWorld

maybe we should call it Internationale Military Committee

I am here as temporarily commandant. I have contacted many communists and we will have meeting on IRC. In that meeting we will decide what kind of structure will we have but I think committee would be best approach, I am not sure about 3 comrades, maybe they should be elected by all militia leaders who want to participate? Manic told me that we can make deal by discussion so I am authorized to make meeting. Also I think Red Brigade would need S in the name as Red Brigades or we just use International Brigades as in RL Razz

the Internationale Military Committee is lead by the Secretary for the Internationale Military
he is elected by the Military Committee and has to be confirmed through the Internationale Congress

each member party of the Internationale will have the possibility to send two delegates - one for the Internationale Congress and one for the Military Committee - the delegate for the Military Committee should be one of the commanders of the partys military (if the party has no operational military then they cant send a delegate to the Military Committee of course)

the actions of the Military Committee will be overwatched by the Security Council - the members of the Security Council are also part of the Military Committee

what about that?

its just a basical structure but i think it could work

I really like it Macht it's pretty much what I wanted but with one change I don't believe the security council should be a part of the committee. The main reason for this is because that may provide certain countries with 2 votes and 2 voices in the council. This will be discussed in both of the CPC meetings this week.

Red Brigade Comandant Position Empty Re: Red Brigade Comandant Position

Post  Rhood Tue May 11, 2010 6:23 am

Greetings fellow comrades, I understand that my sudden apperance here on The Internationale may seem a little suspicious since we after all are dealing with military subjects, I will therefore first shortly introduce myself before I continue with why I'm here.

My name is Rhood and I've been around since day 229 of erepublik. During this whole time I've always conspired and been interacting for the greater good of socialism all over the world. Mainly I've been staying in Sweden, which is my home country, but I've also been to North Korea and South Africa, trying to promote socialism there. I have taken alot of crap from bourgeois pigs all over the world but this have only made my commitment to the socialist cause and the hate for the capitalistic stronger and I would dare to say I'm one of the most fanatic capitlist haters of this game. Thou lately I haven't been a very active player of erepublik since I've grewn tired of taking all that bullshitting. During the time I wasn't playing, which probably was one or two months, a belief grew in me that socialism in erepublik can't be promoted through politics but with war. As you can see here I'm very interested in that the military element of this game becomes developed in order to make room for our policies: http://forum.erepublik.com/showthread.php/94101-OPEN-LETTER-CIVIL-WARS

Now, to why I'm here: I'm here because when I logged on to erepublik for the first time in a few months, a few days ago I read the article about the creation of the Red Army in L'Internationale and found that the communist/socialist are on the uprising all over the world. I also found in me the wish to contribute to the cause and that is the reason I'm here today! I want to contribute by working for The Internationale and I would like to do so by acting as commandant of the Red Army.

I may not be a fearsome soldier and I may not have participated in many battles, but I have a general interest and knowledge of military and tactics and because of my age I have a very genuine knowledge of the all of the game mechanics. If I were to get elected commandant, or supreme commander as I like to think of it my first act would be to set up a general staff who can aid and council me in my job and with which I can share the tasks that will arise.

I would do this because I know there is no way for me to do all the tasks and researching required, alone. I also know there are people out there who knows a hell lot more than I do about the world and the Internationale and I would need their help in my job. I would also need pople to share my thoughts with who can be objective and give me some other input than just my own. If I were to get elected leader of the Red Brigade I can promise you I will be just as loving to the people who would help me as I am hating to the capitalistic. I think of myself as a good leader and a good friend but I'm not afraid of getting down and dirty if that is required of me.

I know you don't know me but I say: What does it matter when we are all socialists?

For a red, brighter future!

Every party in the internationale should have there own military wing separate from there government, unless they live in a communist government. These wings shall be organized under one commandante who will send each wing on anti imperialist/capitalist missions.
