Logo for the Red Army - competition?

Simonov contacted me about the logo for Red Army and I think we should gather some good logomakers in order to get the best results or maybe set up a competition about this for motivational purposes .

For those who got already so excited and started to make a logo of their own, here are some things to notice:
- eRepublik messes up some of the colors when uploading for avatar, org or as a party logo: don't know the eLogic behind this one
- there should be at least three sizes of it: 55x55 pixels for avatars and orgs, 100x100 for Citizen Ads and a larger one maybe for articles: i'm not sure how big it should be in order to look nice, but the width shouldn't be more than 300pixels I guess

If I left out something importantle, please tell.

I've got this where the gun have a nackstrap too but I have some problem uploading it. I will upload it if you really are interested. I still think this is the best of the two.

Just a simple one. The backround in the text is transparent so in artickles would be shown behind a white bg thus looking better.

Wow great work guys I love the Kalashnikov one but I also like Rhoods rifle on the star ones especially the crossed rifles. It's great to have so many so we can use different ones for articles

Rhood good pics but I would remove red star inside if you want hand and rifle (altough this is copy of Workers' Militia) I like work of Herz also but hand with rifle or just rifle is symbol of revolution and resistance to someone

Maybe above the rifles should be red star with hammer and sickle in it (or withour hammer and sickle) I give the idea.

I would just like to notify that the star in the background of my pictures is the star recognized in the inofficial flag of the Soviet ground forces and since they never had an official one that is what you got to work with.

On what I saw as a request I modified my work and took away the star in one picture and made it smaller in the other:
