Internationale Congress meeting: 19.12 - 18:00 (GMT +0) [Update!]
Revolutionary greetings, comrades.
All Congress members attending, post below that you're attending!
We've been discussing different options for the Internationale and nothing's really "happening". I'd like to give credit to comrade Osmany Ramon for running the Internationale and organizing it properly in these past few months. However, we've seen the activity on this board decline ever since it was created, this must be fixed.
The meeting will be held on IRC, on rizon.net channel #Internationale. The (exact!) date and time will be: 19th December, 18:00 GMT +0 (if you're unsure about your time, check it here)
These two topics will be discussed first.
Beyond that, everyone's welcome! We need as many people as possible to attend this meeting, spread the word! When we're voting an article and topic, only registered party representives may vote

Next Saturday evening. I'll get back to you with a time later, but probably around 21:00 or 22:00. Hmm that's probably quite late for some people. How long is it likely to go on for?
Re: Internationale Congress meeting: 19.12 - 18:00 (GMT +0) [Update!]
In order to get the meeting to go as fast and smoothly as possible, we need to make some sort of protocol. This would limit the discussion to 1-2 (?) minutes per representive, instead of everyone shouting. As the chairman I'll be the one coordinating the meeting. Nevertheless, I'm guessing the meeting will take about an hour or two (at most), depending on how strictly we regulate discussion.

I suggest the following structure mr. Chairman:
1. An Order of the day presented by the Chairman.
2. Proposal of solutions (1 minute each representative)
3. Speeches FOR the solutions (max. 3 speeches per solution, each of 2 minutes)
4. Max. 3 questions per speech (those who will ask will be appointed by the Chair)
5. Speeches AGAINST the solutions (max. 3 speeches per solution, each of 2 minutes)
6. Max. 3 questions per speech (those who will ask will be appointed by the Chair)
7. Voting procedure for each solution.
8. End of Meeting.
This structure is similar with the UN one.

We can't make it that bureaucratic. The point of making a protocol is to make it more smooth, a protocol where you have to take time, count statements, etc is beyond our capabilities. We'd need a similiar chart if we'd have tens of people speaking, right now I'm guessing we'll get 20 or 30, max. As Johnobrow suggested, letting one party speak at a time should be sufficient. Each party can decide whether their congress representive speaks for them or if they all speak their opinion. If a statement gets too long or de-rails the topic I will end that session.

Seems as all our comrades from the Asian timezones will be unable to make it. I'm sad to state facts, but the meeting is centered on European timezones and has been moved to give the players from N- and South America a chance to join. In the end it was 50-50 on who to choose and who to ... leave out.
I'll contact our American comrades and see if we can have the meeting 3-4 hours earlier, but that'd mean they'd have to sacrifice their Saturday morning. I'll update with changes later-on, whether there will be any.

Realistically it's going to be a battle for some people regardless of when its held. Hold it when its best for most, and people who can't make it could comment on the discussions later on these forums, or maybe have a second discussion at a different time for time zones that can't make it?

It's going to be hard to find a "best time for all". When the meeting takes place no matter what time, it's going to be night somewhere on the planet. As I see it there's three groups, one of these must be sacrificed. The topics will be posted on the forum, later-on. We could change the protocol and have a general vote whether to accept them or not here on the forum instead, at least this will give everyone a chance to review it and cast their vote!

I will try to make sure to be there for the beginning of the meeting but I cannot promise I will be able to stay the whole time if it drags on. I have to bake massive amounts of christmas cookies that day.
